Takashi Fukagai

Dr. Takashi Fukagai is professor of urology in Showa University, School of Medicine Tokyo, Japan. He graduated from the Showa University School of Medicine in 1986, He did his research at the University of Hawaii and the Queen’s Medical Center at Honolulu studying prostate pathology and epidemiology. He is currently a Vice Director of Showa University Koto Toyosu Hospital in Tokyo. He is an active member of several oncological and urological societies in Japan and is currently president of Prostate Education Council in Japan (PCEC-Japan). He became president of the Asian Pacific Prostate Society (APPS) on January 1st in 2021. His special interests are in prostate cancer, especially for ethnic difference of prostate cancer. His most recent work has focused on brachytherapy, robotic surgery, and PSA screening in Japan.

Jae Young JOUNG, M.D., Ph.D.

Professor Jae Young Joung is currently a Staff of Center for Urological Cancer, National Cancer Center, Korea. He is an active member of several urological societies. He serves as Secretary General of the Korean Prostate Society(KPS), Secretary General of Asian Pacific Prostate Society(APPS), Director of Korean Urological Oncology Society(KUOS), Director of Korean Urological Association(KUA). He has a wide range of interest, in particular in Robotic Surgery and Chemotherapy in Prostate Cancer.

Kin Cheung

With headquarters located in the United States and affiliated distribution companies in Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong and SE Asia, Mr. Cheung runs a medical device distribution and consultancy firm that helps medical device companies expand business operations throughout Asia. Prior to joining APPS as a standing committee member, Mr. Cheung is credited with bringing advanced minimally invasive technologies, including robotic surgeries and laparoscopic instrumentations, to Asia. In his role as the Business General Secretary, Mr. Cheung will act as a liaison between APPS and industry partners to further improve industrial relationship and financial strength of the society, helping to provide opportunities for education, training, and community awareness regarding prostate health.
